Lemont Quarries - Helping Out Scouts

Details: On September 30, Three Fires Council is holding an Adventure Camp for Scouts (yes, both boys and girls) at the Forge in Lemont. Free canoes will be made available to Scouting Adults and Scouts to paddle the Quarry area. Although the Lemont Quarries are non moving water, many of the Scouts may be beginning canoeists. It would nice to have a few PSC folks paddling the quarries for an hour or two each to maybe do a little coaching and helping novice Scouts. So, this is not really an organized PSC event, but an invitation to help budding paddlers learn more about the craft. I will be there around 9, helping out until mid afternoon. 

Obviously there is no shuttling as you take out where you begin.
