Details:  Join us for a two-hour skill-builder session where we will practice various deep-water kayak rescue techniques during the winter open pool session at Naperville North High School.

We will practice assisted and self rescue techniques. This is not a structured class but is an opportunity to practice skills with support. This program is perfect for paddlers who have previously performed rescues and are looking to refine their skills. These techniques are used when in deep water where shore access is not immediately available. We will not be practicing river rescue technique (i.e. throw bag use, entrapment, pinned boat, etc.)

If you are bringing your own boat, it must be completely free of leaves, dirt, etc. before entering the pool.

Participants must wear a properly fitted PFD. You are encouraged to bring your own boat and paddle. Whitewater kayaks and paddles are available for rent for $5.

Payment to the Naperville Park District (cash only) is required on-site to participate.
